As with all snow blowers including Troy Bilt Snow Blowers, regular maintenance is important to ensure that your snow blower does not quit on you when you most need it. Complete a regular maintenance checkup before the season begins to ensure that all systems are working properly, the engine develops full power, belts are tight and all necessary snow blower parts have been lubricated.

You can do most of this yourself or have a small engine mechanic complete the repair on your behalf. The engine oil should be changed at least once per year, the spark plug checked and old gas in the carburetor cleaned out so that you have not problems during the winter months.

If you plan to do the maintenance yourself on your Troy Bilt snow blower, follow stand safety measures before doing any work on your snow blower. Make sure the engine is turned off, make sure that the spark plug wire is disconnected and empty all gasoline out of the fuel tank before doing any work to avoid fire and other accidents while you are working on the snow blower.
